National Garden Show 2011 Koblenz: Schedule

BUGA 2011 Requirements By Zentralverband Gartenbau e.V.

The following minimum area sizes for the garden show were given by the Zentralverband Gartenbau e.V., and agreed by contract:

  • Seasonal plants 14.000 m2
  • Special themes 6.700 m2
  • Roses 5.000 m2
  • Shrubs 6.000 m2
  • Groves 6.000 m2
  • Sepulchral planting 5.000 m2
  • Indoor area (total) 6.000 m2

Probably, the garden show's main areas will be spaciously laid out around the electoral castle (Kurfürstliches Schloss), and on Ehrenbreitstein Fortress' ample plateau. The exact allocation of the horticultural show's several parts can only be specified after the landscape architect's competition has concluded. Until then, the projected distribution of areas may be subject to changes, too.
